BH K/O CIGRE Forum „Women in engineering”

BH K/O CIGRE Forum „Women in engineering” is established in 2019.

Forum „Women in engineering” is dedicated to promoting women experts in this field, inspiring them to pursue their professional and academic interests in engineering careers.

Vision and mission of the Forum "Women in Engineering"

Forum „Women in engineering” aims to assist women experts in career development, including enhancing self-esteem and enhancing professional skills.

Forum „Women in engineering” will focus on the current and future challenges and opportunities of women in the energy and electricity industries.

Goals of the Forum "Women in Engineering"

Increasing the participation of women in the overall membership of BH K/O CIGRE;
Increasing the participation of women experts in the expert field of BH K/O CIGRE;
Increasing the participation of women experts in the management structures of BH K/O CIGRE;
Organizing workshops at major technical conferences to improve networking and promote membership of BH K / O CIGRE;
Facilitating the recruitment and retention of women in technical disciplines;
Assist in the formation of new affinity groups and support ongoing activities;
Recognizing the outstanding achievements of women in engineering through award nominations and honors;
Facilitating the development of programs and activities promoting the access and retention of women in engineering programs;
Creating the preconditions for women experts to have a distinguished career within the energy sector.
Supporting women-experts in their careers to successfully operate in their preferred environments.
Active work as an organized group dealing with negative bias against women experts, providing equal opportunities.

Meetings and Quorum of the Forum “Women in Engineering”

Meetings of the Forum are held once a year, and more than once if necessary, usually during significant meetings (sessions, round tables, general meetings...). The quorum of the Forum is attended by women - members of BH K/O CIGRE, with at least 5 (five) present. The meeting of the Forum may be attended by BH K/O CIGRE executives who are not members of the Forum, journalists and other interested persons, but without the right to vote. Meetings are scheduled by the Forum President. If the President does not schedule a meeting at the insistence of women members, the meeting can be scheduled at the initiative of at least 5 women - individual members of the Forum.
